Chaining is STUPID...

Take a close look at the picture above before you read the story below... and know that this dog is dead because of human stupidity. Dogs are not meant to be chained up.... just like people are not meant to be chained up. However, people can stand up and complain, dogs just die. If you see someone who chains their dog, take a deep breath, be calm and explain to them very calmly that it is dangerous. Share this story with them. If you become irate, it will NOT help. They will turn you off. Be calm and explain that Aurora died and other dogs should not have to. Happy reading!

 In Memory of Aurora
And chained dogs everywhere…
This afternoon, a family brought in their 10 month old female golden retriever mix, Aurora . They told us that they had Aurora chained up in their backyard, when, last week, she got tangled up in the chain. Since then, she has been unable to walk or stand. Aurora remained in their backyard with no medical care for an entire week.
The family asked for Aurora to be euthanized.
Aurora was examined and it was found that her back was broken.
She had no feeling in her back legs and could not stand.
We came to the conclusion that it would be the kindest thing
for Aurora to be euthanized.
At 3:45 PM on 7/8/09, Aurora crossed the Rainbow Bridge . She is now running and jumping once again.
Please pass this on as a reminder to everyone not to chain their dogs.
Do not let Aurora ’s death be in vain—let her story live on in order to keep other dogs safe.

We are heartbroken.

PS. I personally verified the story, so I know it is true.

Sweet Judy SAVED!

Sweet Judy sat in the shelter for almost 2 months when she was pointed out to me. I introduced her to some people via a short youtube video, see link below, and suddenly everyone wanted her. Anton stepped up and contacted Pei People through a friend of ours, Nancy... and the rest is history. Sweet Judy has a very nice home with a man who has loved Shar Pei before. They make a great pair. Thank you Anton for caring and giving a great life to a wonderful little girl..

Best,

Robert
